These pictures were taken on what started out as a routine installation but turned into what some so called satellite engineers would call a headache, the customer wanted a DiSEqC 1.2 motorized satellite system fitted onto what is a very nice house which he decided would look ugly with the dish mounted on the front of it, so we hid the dish from view using non standard brackets and a different pole allowing us to mount the dish in an unusual location without spoiling the look of the house.
Using T & K Brackets, Ross mounted the dish on the corner of the house peering over the roof is a 90cm dish mounted on the motor. Ross is checking the signal levels with a spectrum analyser to maximize the potential of the system. You can see the top half of the T & K bracket to the left of the ladder. The front view after the installation was completed, there is no sign of a satellite installation and the customer was happy. The cost was a little more than a standard installation because the brackets/pole and time taken has to be realised. Altogether a better quality installation (even if we do say so
ourselves). Click on image on the right for the larger version) |
